IMS 2011Toronto

At IMS 2011, Islamic scholars enlightened the students with deep insight into the Islamic history, fiqh and sunnah, while Tajweedh professors teach students the science of the Quranic language and the importance of proper tilawah, or recitation.

It’s an amazing environment where 300 students live, eat, and study together for 15 consecutive days.  In the field of Islamic learning in the West, this is an experience, unlike any other.  I encourage those who haven’t experienced it, to try and apply for next year, inshaAllah.

As usual, I shot testimonials from students.  This year, we tried green*screen shooting.

Equipment used.  Canon 5D II; Canon L-series lenses (85mm 1.2; 35mm 1.4; 70-200mm 2.8; 24-70mm 2.8); Kino Flo Diva Lite 400; Zoom H4N audio recorder.  Sennheiser G3 mics.
